Doktor habilitowany nauk ekonomicznych, prof. SGH. Od 2010 r. jest rektorem Uczelni Vistula (d. Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomiczno-Informatyczna w Warszawie). Był głównym ekonomistą Banku Zachodniego WBK i Banku BPH, prezesem Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Ekonomistów Biznesu, a także wiceprezesem NBP. Później kierował zespołem strategii ekonomicznej w Ernst & Young. Opinie autora blogu nie powinny być utożsamiane z oficjalnym stanowiskiem NBP w omawianych kwestiach.
